Does a bear sh*t in the woods?

This is what I contemplated on today's run as I jogged through the woods and trails of Cape Cod. The first ever bear has been spotted on the cape and the locals are in a frenzy speculating how he got here and trying to take his picture. They think he swam across from the mainland. I didn't spot him though. I did 6k again according to my iPod, although I am suspicious of this measurement since how does my iPod know I'm a short slow lady that takes a lot of steps in a mile vs a tall dude with a long stride? I will take it anyway. I wandered through some really cool beach neighborhoods and wooded paths.
