6

Today is the third time I did 6. I keep waiting to feel like I could go farther but after 6 I always feel like I am going to collapse. My legs hurt for hours afterward and I have to take a nap. How am I going to go 13 miles?

  1. Race day is totally different because you have the adrenaline factor along with the distraction of thousands of people and beautiful ocean views. You'll totally get there. But you need to push yourself to 6.5 or 7 next time, even if you do it at a slow walk (or crawl!). That's the only way to break a plateau.
